At 11:00 a.m. on October 4, the unveiling ceremony of the exhibition of volunteer service of the School of Economics and Management of Yanshan University was held on the 2nd floor of the B area of the EconomicandManagement Building. Xie Yan'an, Deputy PartySecretary of YanshanUniversity, Sun Honglei, Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee, Xue Chuanjia, Minister of the Academic Work Department of the Party Committee, Wang Haitao, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the University, Fu Gang and Lu Baofeng, teachers' representatives of the Schoolof Economics and Management serving the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, as well asotherleaders of the Party and Government of the College, representatives of teachers and students serving the Winter Olympics attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhang Zhichao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Schoolof Economics and Management.

Zhang Zhenhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Economics and Management, delivered a speech. He expressed his gratitude to all relevant departments of the university for their long-term care and support to the volunteering services of the School of Economics and Management, and summarized the achievements of the volunteering work of the teachers and students of theschool since 2012. Zhang Zhenhua pointed out that all the teachers and students of the College fully carry forward the gene of struggle, craftsmanship, excellence and national sentiment that are melded in the bones ofthestudentsinYanshanuniversity, and have never been absent in the process of poverty eradication, rural revitalization, fighting epidemics, serving the Winter Olympics and other major national strategies. Zhang Zhenhua said that theschoolwill take this exhibition as an opportunity to vigorously promote the volunteer service spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress" and greet the victory of the 20th Party Congress with practical actions and excellent achievements.

After that, the representative of teacher volunteers, Chang Sidi, and the representative of student volunteers, Guo Kaiyu shared their volunteer stories of performing in the closing ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, teaching in the west and serving in the Winter Olympics venues. They said that they overcame months of rehearsal fatigue, only to be able to better display the image of young people in China in the National Stadium for 35 minutes. Besides, they braved the severe cold of -20 degrees in Zhangjiakou in winter, only to provide the warmest and most intimate service to the audience which show responsibility and commitment with practical action.

Wang Haitao, Deputy Secretary of the University Youth League Committee, delivered a speech. He said that in the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games, Yanshan University, as the university in Hebei Province that sent the most volunteers and performers for the closing ceremony, had successfully completed the mission of serving the Winter Olympic Games with a high sense of political responsibility and historical mission. Wang Haitao fully affirmed the outstanding performance of the volunteers and performers of the school of Economics and Management in the Beijing Winter Olympics. The exhibition displays the contributions made by students and faculty members of the School of Economics and Management during their volunteer service in the 1990 Beijing Asian Games, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the "Dream Youth" volunteer service action, the "Youth Pioneer Team" of student party members, the Centennial Celebration volunteer service, the volunteer service against the new epidemic, the Western Program of Student Volunteer Service, the Graduate Student Teaching Corps and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics volunteer service and so on.Moreover, it shows the contributions made by 41 students and faculty volunteers in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games., 12 western program volunteers and 2,376 epidemic prevention and control volunteers.
The site of the exhibition
The exhibition of volunteering in the School of Economics and Management is not only a centralized display of the spirit of volunteerism inherited and carried forward by generations of teachers and students, but also the best interpretation of the spirit of "family, country and world" of economic management people.
