The School of Economics and management of the University of Yan Mountains was founded in 1979 as the Yanshan University Department of Management Engineering. After 1985, the Department of Management Engineering gradually moved to Qinhuangdao and was formally named as the School of Economics and management of the University of Yan Mountains in 1998.
At present, the college has 3851 students, 2708 undergraduates, 992 master's students, 94 doctoral students and 57 international students. Currently, there are 130 faculty members, including 104 full-time teachers, 40 professors, 38 associate professors and 20 professor. Forty percent of the teachers have overseas study experience in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Hungary and other countries.
After 40 years of development, the formation of a full-level, diverse, rich categories of high-level personnel training system. College disciplines cover economics and management two major categories, currently has 6 departments and 8 undergraduate majors. At present, there are 2 first-level disciplines doctor points, 1 post-doctoral mobile station, 3 first-level disciplines master points, 6 professional master authorized categories. Has 1 national brand characteristic specialty, 1 provincial key discipline.
The college has 1 Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center, 1 Hebei Cooperative Innovation Center, 1 provincial soft science research base, 1 key research base of humanities and social sciences in Hebei University, 1 provincial experimental teaching demonstration center It has established seven university-level humanities and social sciences research institutions, including the Yanshan University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Center and the Yanshan University Finance and Accounting Research Center.
Since 2008, faculty members have received 27 grants from the National Natural Resources Fund, 11 grants from the National Social Science Fund, and 357 grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education, the scientific research ability to serve the national strategy and regional economic and social development has been gradually enhanced; more than 100 scientific research awards have been awarded at the provincial and municipal levels, among them, there were 1 second prize of Hebei Provincial Natural Science Award, 1 Third Prize of Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 21 Outstanding Achievements of Hebei Social Science Award and 4 Outstanding Achievements of Hebei Social Science Fund Project Awards.
The college has made full use of its advantages in personnel, teaching and scientific research, actively expanded international exchanges, and established various forms of exchange and cooperation. More than 10 universities have been established in Russia, the United States, Pakistan, Mongolia, India, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Nigeria, Yemen, Ghana, Cameroon and other countries. We employ many foreign experts as part-time professors, and actively cooperate with world-famous universities and important international organizations in personnel training and scientific research, and send many teachers to study and study abroad every year. College students from North , South , Asia, Europe, Africa and other countries, has enrolled more than 200 students. September 2011 to recruit Master's students, from September 2014 to recruit doctoral students.
