Recently, the Science and Technology Department of Hebei Province announced the overall evaluation results of Hebei Science and Technology Award for 2021, the scientific research achievement of Professor Sun Wei of our school,Performance Analysis and Customer Behavior Research of Queuing Economics System, was awarded the third prize of Hebei Natural Science Award. There are three first prizes, seven second prizes and eleven third prizes in the whole province.
Queuing economics is an interdisciplinary discipline that organically combines queuing theory, game theory, decision theory, economics and cognitive psychology, the main research object is the choice behavior of finite rational customers in queuing system. As the first team in China to carry out research in the field of queuing economics system, the project team has systematically studied the behavioral strategies of finite rational customers in queuing system since 2007 and conducted an in-depth analysis of the performance of queuing economics system. The project investigates the behavioral strategies of finite rational customers in various types of systems based on the accuracy of different system information and conducts in-depth analysis and evaluation for system performance. The representative work was published in EJOR and other top management journals. The project result has made important contributions to the improvement of the theoretical system of queuing economics, some of the research work is pioneering, leading and groundbreaking, which has been highly evaluated by domestic and foreign colleagues.
The project has published 65 SSCI/SCI retrieved papers around the field of queuing economics system from 2009 to 2019 with 463 SCI citations (including MS, M&SOM, POM and other UTD24 journals) and 4204 citations on CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), 1 monograph published in Springer, 2 monographs in Science Press and Publishing House of Electronics Industry; 2 authorized invention patents; 3 National Natural Science Foundation of China (71101124, 71271187, 71301139), 2 special funding projects of Chinese Postdoctoral Science Foundation (2014T70231, 2018T110205), 2 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of Hebei Provincial Natural Science Foundation (G2016203236, G2018203302), 2 grants from the Youth Talent Support Program in Hebei Province.
The Hebei Science and Technology Award is one of the most important symbols representing the level of scientific and technological achievements in Hebei Province and is also an important indicator for discipline evaluation and "double first-class" construction. Our university and school have always attached great importance to the organization and cultivation of the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Award, actively cultivating and guiding scientific researchers and teams to focus on the accumulation of scientific research. Our school also organizes deployment meetings such as the Hebei Science and Technology Award Meeting on the basis of full investigation in advance. The award of the Hebei Provincial Natural Science Award reflects the strength and level of our school's research in the field of natural science, which will help school's discipline construction and development of management science and engineering.
