The School of Economics and Management held an online farewell ceremony for the 2022 College students Volunteer Service Program in West China at 9:00 AM. on July 7. Secretary of the party committee, Zhang Zhenhua, the dean of school, Chunling Li and Deputy Secretary of the Committee, Zhang Zhichao attended the ceremony. The counselor Tian Yinshuang, Li Jianing, five volunteers (Xia Ying, Hao Xiaoyu, Xu Jia, Liu Yuhao, Wang Lijun) of the service program, graduate students like Mao Yaqi, Wang Ning who had participated social practice in Xinjiang, Bohu, and Zhou Aijing, a 2017 graduate who had attend the College Students West Plan (special project for Tibet) also attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Zhang Wei, Secretary of Youth League Committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, five volunteers who are going to go to the west made a speech firstly. They shared their original intention to participate in the West Plan, described their planning and vision for the future work, and expressed their gratitude to the school and college for training.
Zhou Aijing, a graduate student, introduced the climatic conditions, living environment, working arrangement and accommodation in Tibet based on her experience of volunteer service inChangDu,Tibet. Mao Yaqi and Wang Ning introduced the working condition, living condition and cultures in BaZhou, XinJiang according to their working experience. Three students mentioned their connection with the Western Plan and rural revitalization by talking stories and expressed the best wishes to the volunteers who are about to volunteer.
The counselor Tian Yinshuang, Li Jianing encouraged students to grasp the opportunity and cherish the honor.

Zhenhua Zhang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, made a summary speech. Besides, they should image thevolunteer service as anexercise which can help them growth. Moreover,broadening the scope of knowledge, entering the working state quickly andimproving ability in practice are effective ways to achieve ambitions in life!
After the meeting, the students said,being volunteers that support the west in 2022 is not only a glory,but also aresponsibility. They will always keep in mind the school motto, work diligently in their service positions and contributethemselves for the western region!It is believed that their experience in the west will not only give them a better understanding of the west, the basic unit foundation work and the motherland, but will also be a valuable experience that perfectly combines dedication to the country and the realization of self-worth!
